Best's
Wines "Concongella" |
|
|
|
Established in 1866, Best's Winery is among Australia's oldest small
family wineries. With
its original 1860s vineyard block full of a staggering number of
obscure ancient vines, and with its wonderful musty old underground
cellars, Best’s is one of Victoria’s must-visit places. The Thomson
family are fully aware of their heritage and keep the traditions
of this place very much alive. Not surprisingly (given it is a regional
specialty), Shiraz is the hallmark wine at Best’s. Located at Concongella
Vineyard, Great Western, 1km off Western Highway (Highway 8) Stawell side of Great Western.
Open Mon-Sat 10am-5pm; Sunday 11am-4pm.
